The supporters of AC United booed when Melchester Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juliusz Oliszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Vallgren to maneuver through the defense. Gustaf Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Jonasson in the 18th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Nils Ryberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Ryberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Samuelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredrik Gustafsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, AC United's Gustaf Rudberg got control of the ball when Kaj Jonasson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Vallgren came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nils Ryberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Kaj Jonasson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustaf Rudberg, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaj Jonasson in the 46th minute of play forced AC United's goalkeeper Gustaf Rudberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Algot Månsson made the kick off in the second half. Filip Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Melchester Rovers's Klas Vallgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaf Rudberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Kaj Jonasson got a free kick in the 61st minute. Klas Vallgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaf Rudberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Klas Vallgren ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to AC United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Oskar Kilstedt hit a great ball. Gustaf Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Jonasson in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Osvald Tinglöf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melchester Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvald Tinglöf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustaf Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Vallgren came free, but Gustaf Rudberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaj Jonasson in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaf Rudberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils Ryberg during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Melchester Rovers's Kaj Jonasson got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AC United's Gustaf Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Jonasson in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Melchester Rovers fans cheered their team off the field, for while AC United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
