Bertil Hammarbäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Hellkvist in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Anders Vennersten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertil Hammarbäck. Smurfarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anders Vennersten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 10th minute, Carl Bergvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertil Hammarbäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Smurfarna's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Nyman came free, but Bertil Hammarbäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18th play minutes Bernt Hellkvist shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Bertil Hammarbäck and just under the crossbar into goal. Bertil Hammarbäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernt Hellkvist in the 23rd minute of play. Bertil Hammarbäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Vennersten in the 25th minute of the match. With a little luck, Kronan's Harald Myr got control of the ball when Arne Askstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elliott Sörman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Harald Myr skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bertil Hammarbäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Smurfarna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robert Nyman was slow to take the kick. During this time Kronan's players had a chance to rest. A hard shot 42 in the game by Arne Askstedt from a close distance when the talented Harald Myr managed to make a qualified save. Kronan's players were relieved. Arne Askstedt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Harald Myr 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Torgny Grönlund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kronan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Kronan's Casper Tunander was substituted for Anders Vennersten. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Askstedt to make the kick off. Bertil Hammarbäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casper Tunander, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Torgny Grönlund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bertil Hammarbäck. Torgny Grönlund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Bertil Hammarbäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ola Samuelsson in the 58th minute of the match. Kronan's Nils-Emil Österberg was substituted for Ola Nordin. In the 65th minute, Ingmar Vedholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Smurfarna booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Hellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torgny Grönlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Casper Tunander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Hammarbäck was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Smurfarna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Casper Tunander fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 79th minute Bernt Hellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Hammarbäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Eddie Forssell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertil Hammarbäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Hellkvist in the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Bernt Hellkvist notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Smurfarna's Bertil Hammarbäck. Bertil Hammarbäck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Kronan's Casper Tunander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bertil Hammarbäck. Bertil Hammarbäck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greger Granqvist in the 99th minute of play forced Kronan's goalkeeper Harald Myr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kronan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
