The referee ignored FC Mackan United's protests and gave Kjell-Arne Hedin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of HEJA ESLÖV booed when FC Mackan United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Hedin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Tillman came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Simon Bergsten could save by the left post. Robin Tillman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Simon Bergsten made a huge save. Kristoffer Kleen charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristoffer Kleen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Kristoffer Kleen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, HEJA ESLÖV's Simon Bergsten got control of the ball when Kurt Söderberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simon Bergsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Söderberg in the 38th minute of the match. Karl-Michael Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Wallin having to interfere. HEJA ESLÖV were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after FC Mackan United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexander Törnblom took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Melker Forsberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Michael Eriksson to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dag Linqvist in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Bergsten saved HEJA ESLÖV from getting behind. Simon Bergsten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sonny Jansson went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 61 played minutes HEJA ESLÖV got a freekick which was hit by Kristoffer Kleen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Bergstedt during the 63rd minute.
