Kamil Reizers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Runeberg having to make a save. Thomas Runeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kamil Reizers, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Samba Fotboll U21's Wictor Gustavsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Algot Ahlrot, made in the 43rd minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Viktor Sillén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Runeberg. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viktor Sillén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Thomas Runeberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamil Reizers in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Ronnie Meck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Christian Lundqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ronnie Meck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joseph Holmberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Runeberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joseph Holmberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Thomas Runeberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Holmberg in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Joseph Holmberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Runeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quetzal Flyers Hammers's zone, Joseph Holmberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Runeberg came out of the goal and Joseph Holmberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samba Fotboll U21's Poyraz Gökyüzü was substituted for Zé Roberto van Beek. After having played for 73 minutes, Joseph Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samba Fotboll U21's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Holmberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Samba Fotboll U21's Wictor Gustavsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Runeberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Thomas Runeberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Holmberg in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Thomas Runeberg got control of the ball when Joseph Holmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
