After some careless play in the Los Frogos defense, Per-Erik Albom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sverker Nyberg. The Los Frogos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sverker Nyberg should have stopped the shot. Los Frogos's Sverker Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Magnusson in the 13th minute of play. Sverker Nyberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Erik Albom went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Hubert Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Per-Erik Albom notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Los Frogos's Sverker Nyberg. Sverker Nyberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jörgen Hermansson charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörgen Hermansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jörgen Hermansson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Axel Persson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Lennart Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Frogos. Sven-Arne Brandin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bergandy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Los Frogos. Thomas Pååk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lennart Åkesson. 1-3. In the 39th minute, Los Frogos's Frank Gualtieri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lennart Åkesson. Lennart Åkesson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After 47 played minutes Los Frogos got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Pååk.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörgen Hermansson made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Thomas Pååk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Frogos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Frogos's goalkeeper Sverker Nyberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Per-Erik Albom came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bergandy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Erik Albom couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Los Frogos's goalkeeper Sverker Nyberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörgen Hermansson. After a rather tough play, Los Frogos's Tobias Trulsson got a free kick in the 69th minute. Axel Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lennart Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Axel Persson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lennart Åkesson was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After 76 minutes, Thomas Pååk made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Bergandy's Lennart Åkesson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jörgen Hermansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sverker Nyberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörgen Hermansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Jörgen Hermansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Los Frogos's Thomas Pååk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Åkesson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. The supporters of Bergandy booed when Los Frogos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Gualtieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Los Frogos could leave the field as winners, despite Bergandy having more of the ball for most of the match.
