Folke Flinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Österlund in the 12th minute of the match. Stoke FF's Folke Flinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Asserlind in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Fanström got free with Lennart Åkesson in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Björn Kaxe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lennart Åkesson was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 32 minutes into the game, when Filip Hellkvist put in a rough tackle. The goalkeeper, Lennart Åkesson, was totally fooled by Stoke FF's Jens-Erik Söderström, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Folke Flinck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the game, Carl Pihlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stoke FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergandy the free kick. In the 48th match minute, Stoke FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Pihlberg to maneuver through the defense. Folke Flinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Kjellqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Kling was the one to do the kick off. Emil Fanström scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Åkesson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Folke Flinck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tor Österlund in the 57th minute. Folke Flinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Kling in the 58th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Bergandy got a freekick which was hit by Erland Malm. A collision led to Stoke FF getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Elliott Bark hit a great ball. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Folke Flinck as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Stoke FF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Åke Sundberg hit a great ball. Björn Kaxe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lennart Åkesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bergandy were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Stoke FF to leave the ground with a draw.
