When Torsten Jonsson came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cosmopolitan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Jonsson couldn't finish the play. Tim Löv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Flinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, Sixten Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Digital Monsterz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixten Åström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Digital Monsterz FC's zone, Torsten Jonsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Skarkman came out of the goal and Torsten Jonsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Digital Monsterz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Pihlgren came free, but Bertil Skarkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman got control of the ball when Evert Pihlgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 35 minutes, Dan Backman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Digital Monsterz FC and the Cosmopolitan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Digital Monsterz FC's Dan Backman got his second yellow card of the match in the 36th minute. The referee ordered Dan Backman off the ground. The supporters of Cosmopolitan FC booed when Digital Monsterz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Backman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 minutes Digital Monsterz FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nils-Erik Gustavsson who took care of the corner kick. Evert Pihlgrens short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Bertil Skarkman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bertil Skarkman was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Torsten Jonsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Torsten Jonsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Pihlgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Digital Monsterz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Pihlgren came free, but Bertil Skarkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Skarkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Pihlgren in the 53rd minute of play. If Sven-Edvin Hamberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Skarkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Pihlgren in the 58th minute of the match. Cosmopolitan FC's Osvaldo Ermano was substituted for Evert Pihlgren. Torsten Jonsson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Eddie Flinck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Digital Monsterz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddie Flinck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Löv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Digital Monsterz FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ivar Berglund hit a great ball. Eddie Flinck came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tim Löv could save by the left post. In the 78th minute, Osvaldo Ermano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmopolitan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Tim Löv made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddie Flinck in the 82nd minute. After 83 minutes, Nils-Erik Gustavsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cosmopolitan FC and the Digital Monsterz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Cosmopolitan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. Digital Monsterz FC's Bertil Skarkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Ermano in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Cosmopolitan FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bo Kinell hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Cosmopolitan FC's Osvaldo Ermano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertil Skarkman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cosmopolitan FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
