The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Aspvik got free with Kåre Blom in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Jonatan Aspvik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kåre Blom was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Glentown FC booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Odman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Ove Strömbom hit a great ball. Robin Vikström hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Glentown FC's Ralf Fransson got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Karl-Johan Wahlnäs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Ahlquist was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. A collision led to Glentown FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Matthias Classon hit a great ball. Jonatan Aspvik kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Olov Ahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Rosendal, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Jonatan Aspvik took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kåre Blom. Kåre Blom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Glentown FC's Mister Nudel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pär Odman in the 35 minute of the game. In the 36th minute Ralf Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kåre Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Aspvik in the 37th minute. Kåre Blom came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Glentown FC's Ralf Fransson. But to his dismay, Ralf Fransson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 46 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kåre Blom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Aspvik. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Birger Rosendal to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Fransson came free, but Kåre Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Bo Blanck. In the 55th minute, Jonatan Aspvik made a precise shot to the right of Kåre Blom. INIXET BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After having played for 58 minutes, Jonatan Aspvik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glentown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Aspvik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Ralf Fransson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kåre Blom. INIXET BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ralf Fransson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Kåre Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Fransson in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Fransson in the 62nd minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kåre Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 minutes, Jonatan Aspvik made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. INIXET BK's Kåre Blom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the INIXET BK defense, Ralf Fransson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kåre Blom. The INIXET BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kåre Blom should have stopped the shot. Kåre Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Fransson in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, INIXET BK's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Fransson came free, but Kåre Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Jonatan Aspvik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glentown FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. 94 minutes into the match, Glentown FC's Jonatan Aspvik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kåre Blom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Glentown FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
