When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Birger Rosendal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Thomas Ravelli to make any attempt to save it. 15 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birger Rosendal. The supporters of INIXET BK booed when Segmon IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Ove Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Thomas Ravelli made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Michel Bratt sent off a good shot on target. Segmon IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Karl-Johan Wahlnäs scored to the left of an out of position Thomas Ravelli, making the score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Ove Strömbom got free with Thomas Ravelli in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomas Ravelli didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 32nd minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. Segmon IF's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Johan Wahlnäs in the 39th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Charlie Lind mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Segmon IF and the INIXET BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charlie Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Birger Rosendal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Ravelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Thomas Ravelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 47 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Birger Rosendal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Birger Rosendal made a kick off. Birger Rosendal took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Birger Rosendal scored 7-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Ravelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Segmon IF's zone, Birger Rosendal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Ravelli came out of the goal and Birger Rosendal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Van de Wal's late challenge caught a INIXET BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattias Van de Wal helped the player get up and apologised. Michel Bratt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Thomas Ravelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Ove Strömbom took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After 69 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Michel Bratt. A collision led to Segmon IF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emanuel Blomkvist hit a great ball. Michel Bratt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Ravelli having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Birger Rosendal in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Ravelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bo Blanck took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Ravelli. Segmon IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Rosendal in the 80th minute of play forced Segmon IF's goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Birger Rosendal in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Ravelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Blomkvist to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Bratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Michel Bratt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Ravelli. Segmon IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michel Bratt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After 95 minutes, Tomas Brolin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Segmon IF and the INIXET BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Brolin to maneuver through the defense.
