Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Ferm started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Onsala Ass Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Billing. After a defensive mix-up in Onsala Ass Kickers's zone, Mattias Van de Wal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Hägglund came out of the goal and Mattias Van de Wal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th match minute, Onsala Ass Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Stenberg to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Segmon IF booed when Onsala Ass Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Vallengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Ferm to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Sjöberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thomas Ravelli came out and tried to block the shot, but Edwin Sjöberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Thomas Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Sjöberg came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kåre Bruhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Onsala Ass Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Stenberg to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Ravelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edwin Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Edgar Ferm struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Thomas Hägglund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Segmon IF. Segmon IF's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Sjöberg in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Sjöberg came free, but Thomas Ravelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Segmon IF's Mattias Van de Wal got a free kick in the 41st minute. Thomas Ravelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Sjöberg in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kåre Bruhn was the one to do the kick off. Thomas Ravelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Sjöberg in the 54th minute of play. If Kåre Bruhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Biörkquist kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Segmon IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Brolin to maneuver through the defense. Axel Uggstedt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thomas Ravelli. Segmon IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Onsala Ass Kickers's Edwin Sjöberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Ravelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Segmon IF's Bernt Henriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Onsala Ass Kickers's goalkeeper Thomas Hägglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernt Henriksson got free with Thomas Hägglund in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hubert Eklund kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thomas Ravelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Uggstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Viggo Billing lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After having played for 95 minutes, Mattias Van de Wal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Segmon IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mattias Van de Wal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Ferm in the 97th minute of play forced Onsala Ass Kickers's goalkeeper Thomas Hägglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segmon IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
