Joel Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Wahlnäs in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of INIXET BK booed when BK Värdsholmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Hammarström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Törnblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kåre Blom having to interfere. Peder Gernberg scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kåre Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kåre Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Eklund in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, INIXET BK's Michel Bratt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Tolsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute Birger Rosendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ture Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 33 played minutes INIXET BK got a freekick which was hit by Michel Bratt. Magnus Skålberg's late challenge caught a BK Värdsholmen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magnus Skålberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes BK Värdsholmen got a freekick which was hit by Ture Lund. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Håkan Eklund made a kick off. Joel Tolsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Ove Strömbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Joel Tolsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Birger Rosendal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 53 minute of play. Sven-Ove Strömbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Tolsson having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Strömbom came free, but Joel Tolsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Ove Strömbom did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Joel Tolsson 58 minutes into the match. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by INIXET BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roy Hamberg was slow to take the kick. During this time BK Värdsholmen's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Roy Hamberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INIXET BK's Kåre Blom did a great save. 74 minutes into the game, Birger Rosendal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Joel Tolsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Strömbom in the 77th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Algot Cane in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Tolsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
