Håkan Söderberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Carlos Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Fredrik Isak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Degerfors IF and the Svennis Grabbar FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Svennis Grabbar FF booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Henriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tuncay Cansever went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Degerfors IF's Artemio Maore managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Matthias Hedvall in the 34 minute of the game. Antônio Carlos Tasso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Håkan Söderberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Antônio Carlos Tasso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 36th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Tasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Philip Hasselqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Håkan Söderberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuncay Cansever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Henriksson having to interfere. Degerfors IF's Åke Fors was substituted for Tuncay Cansever. Åke Fors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Henriksson having to make a save. Åke Fors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jarl Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Fors in the 60th minute of play forced Svennis Grabbar FF's goalkeeper Tony Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Degerfors IF's 김 손 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jarl Lindström in the 73 minute of the game. In the 77th minute Antônio Carlos Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tony Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Svennis Grabbar FF's goalkeeper Tony Henriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Fors. Tony Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Fors in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Kruuse in the 87th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Hasselqvist hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Svennis Grabbar FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
