In the 3rd match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Alfors to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Michael Erserman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingmar Hellström skillfully saved the ball. In the 5th match minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Edvin Lundström to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Trillkott came free, but Ingmar Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Johan Hård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balders Hage IF's Daniel Holm got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when Balders Hage IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Erserman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Andreasson was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Helge Lundqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Helge Lundqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Sven-Edvin Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes of play, Balders Hage IF's Daniel Holm made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ingmar Hellström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 27 minutes, Nils-Erik Lövkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel and the Balders Hage IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Étoile Sportive Du Sahel getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nils-Erik Lövkvist hit a great ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Ingmar Hellström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ingmar Hellström came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Balders Hage IF's Patrik Trillkott. But to his dismay, Patrik Trillkott quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Uno Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Daniel Holm hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Sofiane Charradi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uno Andreasson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Balders Hage IF's goal looked a bit too open when Torbjörn Högberg came free, but Uno Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Balders Hage IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Dahlkvist to maneuver through the defense. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Brahim Charradi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Helge Lundqvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Uno Andreasson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patrik Trillkott stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Helge Lundqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Brahim Charradi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Helge Lundqvist in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uno Andreasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Holm struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ingmar Hellström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balders Hage IF. Helge Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute of the match Torbjörn Högberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uno Andreasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Balders Hage IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Torbjörn Högberg took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Torbjörn Högberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Uno Andreasson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Brahim Charradi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Uno Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Balders Hage IF's Patrik Trillkott nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingmar Hellström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. 82 minutes into the match, Balders Hage IF's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Lundqvist came free, but Uno Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Ingmar Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Hammarberg in the 86th minute of play. Patrik Trillkott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel had won after a very even match.
