The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sixten Sjö's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roy Mårtensson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Sixten Sjö blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roy Mårtensson having to make a save. If Sixten Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roy Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Sixten Sjö's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roy Mårtensson was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when André Strömberg put in a rough tackle. Björkö BK:s Roy Mårtensson showed great skill when he stopped Ronny Nilsson:s penalty. Gil Garcia made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Enrico Alessandro sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes Björkö BK got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Viberg. Sixten Sjö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roy Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixten Sjö in the 26th minute of the match. Gil Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Kornecki, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Apolo Vela charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Vela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Apolo Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Björkö BK's Jerry Hedman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Garcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roy Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Kilstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Jonsereds IF's Harry Tham got a free kick in the 37th minute. Bengt-Åke Nordkvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Gil Garcia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Jonsereds IF fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jakub Kornecki kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Sjö in the 46th minute of play forced Björkö BK's goalkeeper Roy Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Mårtensson came out of the goal in the 49th minute to try and stop a shot by Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö. But to his dismay, Sixten Sjö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sixten Sjö to strike the kick off in the second half. Sixten Sjö might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roy Mårtensson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sixten Sjö ran back to his position shaking his head. Sixten Sjö's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Roy Mårtensson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 64 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Vela. In the 68th minute Sixten Sjö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Björkö BK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Åke Nordkvist. Roy Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixten Sjö in the 73rd minute. Björkö BK's Roy Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Vela in the 74th minute of play. Rolf Björkdal's late challenge caught a Jonsereds IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Björkdal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, one of Björkö BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Björkö BK. Roy Mårtensson had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Ronny Nilsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Björkö BK's Roy Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Björkö BK from getting a goal against them. Hans Kilstedt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roy Mårtensson came out and tried to block the shot, but Hans Kilstedt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 83rd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Sixten Sjö dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roy Mårtensson, 0-5. If Sixten Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Hans Kilstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy Mårtensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sixten Sjö's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Björkö BK's Roy Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Björkö BK from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jonsereds IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
