The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Utfal in the 12th minute of play forced Dalens Darlings's goalkeeper Ingmar Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Lars-Erik Utfal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bodil United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Utfal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Dalens Darlings getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Per-Åke Åkerman hit a great ball. Ingmar Danielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Friberger in the 14th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Lars-Erik Utfal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dalens Darlings's Ingmar Danielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anders Hägg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Per-Åke Åkerman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Bodil United's Conny Gullesson didn't even have to move. 26 minutes into the match, Dalens Darlings's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Johan Drake came free, but Ingmar Danielsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conny Gullesson made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Philip Säv sent off a good shot on target. In the 35thth minute of the game Lars-Erik Utfal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dalens Darlings's Ingmar Danielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingmar Danielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Lång in the 37th minute of the match. Dalens Darlings's Ingmar Danielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Johan Drake in the 40th minute of play. After 43 played minutes FC Bodil United got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Lång. When Anders Hägg fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bodil United's protests and gave Anders Hägg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dalens Darlings booed when FC Bodil United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Hägg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lars-Erik Utfal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Stig Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philip Säv kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Bodil United booed when Dalens Darlings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Björck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars-Erik Utfal took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingmar Danielsson. Ingmar Danielsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Conny Gullesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Bjurström, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 67 minutes into the game, FC Bodil United's Gert Friberger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ingmar Danielsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Sjöman in the 70th minute of play forced FC Bodil United's goalkeeper Conny Gullesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gert Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, FC Bodil United's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Säv came free, but Conny Gullesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingmar Danielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Friberger, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Emanuel Sjöman's late challenge caught a FC Bodil United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conny Gullesson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Philip Säv went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gert Friberger managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bodil United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Friberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingmar Danielsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Bodil United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
