Independiente's goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Santoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sammy Matos. Sammy Matos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Claudio Arzeno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harri Mihklisaar skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute, Gilbert Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Romeo Crane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Donovan Landrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harri Mihklisaar having to interfere. Conrad Carrington could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Harri Mihklisaar made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrad Carrington got free with Harri Mihklisaar in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Ángel Santoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donovan Landrum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Sin City Sinners's Donovan Landrum to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Ángel Santoro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute, Daron Preston made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Ángel Santoro. C. A. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. C. A. Independiente's Guy Becerra managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Daron Preston in the 84 minute of the game.
