Josiah McIntosh started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Flint Castillo De Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rufus Cross made in the 11th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Flint Castillo De Reyes however managed to control. In the 19th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Tuttle to maneuver through the defense. Josiah McIntosh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bart Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Villanueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Owen in the 26th minute of play. Bart Villanueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josiah McIntosh, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Bart Villanueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josiah McIntosh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josiah McIntosh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bart Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kareem Kuhn was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Josiah McIntosh elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The El Canalla de Chicago players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. EL LOBO DE MIAMI were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudolf Pendleton made a kick off. Flint Castillo De Reyes took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bart Villanueva. Bart Villanueva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Josiah McIntosh came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josiah McIntosh couldn't finish the play. After 64 played minutes EL LOBO DE MIAMI got a freekick which was hit by Flint Castillo De Reyes. After a rather tough play, El Canalla de Chicago's Martin Tuttle got a free kick in the 65th minute. Nelson Insfrán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudolf Pendleton's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. El Canalla de Chicago's Bart Villanueva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save El Canalla de Chicago from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the EL LOBO DE MIAMI defense, Rudolf Pendleton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Insfrán. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Insfrán should have stopped the shot. After having played for 82 minutes, Reinaldo Owen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Owen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's Nelson Insfrán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Pendleton in the 84th minute of play. When Flint Castillo De Reyes fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EL LOBO DE MIAMI's protests and gave Flint Castillo De Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to EL LOBO DE MIAMI getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Flint Castillo De Reyes hit a great ball. Reinaldo Owen kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing EL LOBO DE MIAMI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
