In the 2nd minute, Timóteo Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eureka's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Tomás Gois scored to the left of an out of position António Carmo, making the score, 1-0. Gusmão Candeias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but António Carmo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Lima Team's Angélico Ventura got a free kick in the 11th minute. The supporters of Eureka booed when Lima Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Lucena didn't get a good kick on the ball. António Carmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Gois in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Severiano Lucena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of António Carmo. Eureka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Lucena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. António Carmo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Mendes went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusmão Candeias in the 34th minute of play forced Eureka's goalkeeper António Carmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Gusmão Candeias hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Eureka's Tarcísio Fragoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Fagundes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 45th minute Angélico Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Carmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Carmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gusmão Candeias in the 46th minute. When Gusmão Candeias came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Lima Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gusmão Candeias couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvano Camacho made a kick off. Eureka's António Carmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Gois in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute Tomás Gois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Carmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Carmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Wilson Frois hit a great ball. Gusmão Candeias struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. António Carmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lima Team. 72 minutes into the match, Eureka's goal looked a bit too open when Gusmão Candeias came free, but António Carmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Carmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
