Tomás Gois started the match with the kick off. Telmo Seixas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Fagundes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adão Dantas during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adão Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Eureka's António Carmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Candeias in the 22nd minute of play. António Carmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Gois in the 24th minute of play. If Honorato Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Eureka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Chagas to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Gois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. António Carmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Madruga hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Honorato Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Carmo was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 39 minutes of play, Lima Team's Honorato Amaral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. António Carmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honorato Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Carmo having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Gusmão Candeias made a precise shot to the right of António Carmo. Eureka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Lima Team were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when André Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eureka's António Carmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Eureka from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Lima Team's Gusmão Candeias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The supporters of Lima Team booed when Eureka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teófilo Igrejas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Eureka's Teófilo Igrejas got a free kick in the 65th minute. Honorato Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Carmo having to interfere. Gusmão Candeias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but António Carmo made a huge save. When Eureka's André Costa in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. When Honorato Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lima Team's protests and gave Honorato Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Honorato Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eureka's António Carmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Eureka from getting a goal against them. With his leg António Carmo managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Lima Team's Gusmão Candeias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Honorato Amaral struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. António Carmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lima Team. António Carmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Gois in the 83rd minute of the match. António Carmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Gois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lima Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wilson Frois in the 89th minute. The corner led Lima Team's Wilson Frois to fire away a dangerous shot which António Carmo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Tomás Gois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lima Team played a much better game than Eureka and deserved their victory. The Eureka players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
