Eureka's André Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gusmão Menezes's late challenge caught a Eureka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gusmão Menezes helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pascoal Amaral made a kick off. António Carmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascoal Amaral's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Miradeses FC's zone, Tarcísio Fragoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plácido Madureira came out of the goal and Tarcísio Fragoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tarcísio Fragoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Miradeses FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusmão Menezes to maneuver through the defense. When André Costa came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Eureka fans jumped to their feet.
