With his leg José Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Sporting Tuga FC's Hélder Pimentel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bembenfica's José Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Bembenfica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Pimentel got free with José Monteiro in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pimentel came free, but José Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 47 in the game by Hélder Pimentel from a close distance when the talented José Monteiro managed to make a qualified save. Bembenfica's players were relieved. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabrício Raminhos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Antunes hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Hélder Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Albuquerque in the 56th minute of play forced Sporting Tuga FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Caiado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pimentel came free, but José Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes of play, Sporting Tuga FC's Hélder Pimentel made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 96th minute, Hélder Pimentel made a precise shot to the right of José Monteiro. Bembenfica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Sporting Tuga FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
