The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bernardo Salgado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. Almiro Setúbal had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Lourenço Quinaz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Yuri Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sporting Clube Patrício getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jiang Gang hit a great ball. Almiro Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januário Durães in the 28th minute of play. Horácio Chagas hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Portela in the 31st minute of play. Germano Tristão came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube Patrício's Miguel Santiago. But to his dismay, Miguel Santiago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 40 minutes of play, KINGS FC's Estevão Granja made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Almiro Setúbal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yuri Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48thth minute of the game Miguel Santiago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KINGS FC's Germano Tristão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgílio Moita to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal got control of the ball when Virgílio Moita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Almiro Setúbal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Quinaz in the 82nd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Daniel Portela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3.
