After a defensive mix-up in FC Beatriz 08's zone, Lázaro Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Meira came out of the goal and Lázaro Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Rego during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Manuel Rego kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. MZ Fénix's Rubim Jesus managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Domingos Estrela in the 18 minute of the game. Gregório Brochado kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Lázaro Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Abel Meira. FC Beatriz 08's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. MZ Fénix's Lázaro Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when He Yue Feng got free with Delfim Vilas Boas in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Meira came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Fénix's Lázaro Oliveira. But to his dismay, Lázaro Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute Lázaro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Oliveira scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Meira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. MZ Fénix's Manuel Rego was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abel Meira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Oliveira in the 39th minute of play forced FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Lázaro Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half MZ Fénix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lázaro Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Abel Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 59 minutes into the game, when Noel Castilho put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in MZ Fénix fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! After 67 minutes, Domingos Estrela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Beatriz 08 and the MZ Fénix players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Castelo Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Abel Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Castelo Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Manuel Rego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Abel Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Castelo Branco. In the 93rd match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Estrela to maneuver through the defense. MZ Fénix's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
