Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Isidoro Rijo took the kick off in the first half of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Higino Pessoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Calado. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Reinaldo Calado sped through Pinhote FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Higino Pessoa. Isidoro Rijo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jorge Valério didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pinhote FC. Jorge Valério came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinhote FC's Pedro Neto. But to his dismay, Pedro Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Calado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higino Pessoa. Pinhote FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reinaldo Calado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Altino Guerreiro charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Altino Guerreiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pinhote FC's Higino Pessoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Altino Guerreiro in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Filipe Poças was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ponte do Carro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhote FC the free kick. After 37 played minutes, Pinhote FC's Hipólito Vilalobos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Valério came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pinhote FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Reinaldo Calado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ponte do Carro's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Calado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Higino Pessoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Filipe Poças got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Filipe Poças got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Altino Guerreiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinaldo Calado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Higino Pessoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adélio Vilas Boas in the 65th minute of play forced Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Jorge Valério to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when Pinhote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Humberto Mascarenhas hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Rijo got free with Jorge Valério in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Dionisio Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higino Pessoa. Pinhote FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dionisio Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Ponte do Carro's Dionisio Ramos in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pinhote FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Reinaldo Calado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Valério made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Severo in the 86th minute of play. Higino Pessoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cristóvão Caetano hit a great ball.
