Terceirense F.C.'s Lucas Luis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alexandre Paixão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jorge Ferrão hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. With a left leg Alexandre Paixão saved Atlético Micaelense from getting behind. In the 30th minute Torcato Paião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Enke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A wasted opportunity for Terceirense F.C.. 94 minutes into the match, Anselmo Baldaia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alexandre Paixão. Atlético Micaelense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Baldaia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Terceirense F.C. had won after a very even match.
