Spectators: 190 (Terracing: 143, Seating: 44, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jerónimo Sabrosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Minho FC's Jerónimo Sabrosa in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Exército Português's goalie prevented a goal. If Jordão Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Maurício Pimentel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maurício Pimentel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Laurențiu Gaciu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Lages in the 25th minute of play forced Minho FC's goalkeeper Jairo Calçada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cris Ronaldo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jairo Calçada saved Minho FC from getting behind. Maurício Pimentel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laurențiu Gaciu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Maurício Pimentel sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Minho FC's Maurício Pimentel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Laurențiu Gaciu. Laurențiu Gaciu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Pimentel in the 44th minute of play. When Isidoro Vilarinho fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minho FC's protests and gave Isidoro Vilarinho a yellow card for diving instead. Isidoro Vilarinho hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 49 minutes into the match, Minho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cris Ronaldo came free, but Jairo Calçada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cris Ronaldo made a kick off. Jairo Calçada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cris Ronaldo in the 52nd minute of play. Exército Português were furious when Éder Prates was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 57th minute, one of Exército Português:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Exército Português. Laurențiu Gaciu had in the 59thth minute some difficulties stopping Maurício Pimentel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Kevin Lages recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinaldo Moutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurențiu Gaciu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Maurício Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurențiu Gaciu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 74thth minute of the game Jerónimo Sabrosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exército Português's Laurențiu Gaciu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Pimentel in the 77th minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Exército Português defense, Jerónimo Sabrosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laurențiu Gaciu. The Exército Português fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laurențiu Gaciu should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Cris Ronaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Sabrosa in the 87th minute of play forced Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerónimo Sabrosa in the 92nd minute of play. Peter Skog made in the 94th minute of the game a quick throw-in and António Pires immediately put the ball in play. Exército Português's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
