The supporters of Minho FC booed when Ribeirada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Stenman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Ribeirada's Inácio Quinaz got control of the ball when Marco Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Ribeirada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inácio Quinaz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Reinaldo Moutinho hit a great ball. The Ribeirada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ribeirada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
