After some careless play in the SC Braga defense, Kevin Lages kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albérico Vilaverde. The SC Braga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albérico Vilaverde should have stopped the shot. Albérico Vilaverde came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Kevin Lages. But to his dismay, Kevin Lages quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Egídio Paixão charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Paixão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Paixão. Albérico Vilaverde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Lages's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octávio Moita. When Hugo Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Braga's protests and gave Hugo Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Braga getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hugo Pinheiro hit a great ball. Hugo Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Kevin Lages sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albérico Vilaverde came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Kevin Lages. But to his dismay, Kevin Lages quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Octávio Moita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Laurențiu Gaciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albérico Vilaverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Lages in the 45th minute of the match. Basílio Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basílio Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Exército Português getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Basílio Dantas hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josué Granja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Basílio Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Exército Português fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Dantas couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, SC Braga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandrino Bessa to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st match minute, Exército Português was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Valverde to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Exército Português's goal looked a bit too open when Egídio Paixão came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Albérico Vilaverde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Albérico Vilaverde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Lages in the 77th minute. When Exército Português's Kevin Lages in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Braga's goalie prevented a goal. Alexandrino Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The SC Braga supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Exército Português's performance. The match ended with a win for Exército Português.
