Gentil Vasques kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to São Francisco FC86 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ricardo Madeira hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasco Calheiros got free with Albérico Vilaverde in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Octávio Moita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Vilaverde having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Pinheiro was the one to do the kick off.
