The corner ended in Maurício Caetano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting DoutroMundo's Dimas Nunes did a great save. Tiago Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albérico Coelho in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Sporting DoutroMundo's goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Valadares came free, but Dimas Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimas Nunes came out of the goal and Alcides Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, FC Dezassete's Alcides Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimas Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alcides Valadares in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimas Nunes saved Sporting DoutroMundo from getting behind. In the last second Dimas Nunes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alcides Valadares in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Dimas Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Valadares in the 88th minute of play. Maurício Caetano struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Dimas Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dezassete. Matias Sequeira hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcides Valadares in the 98th minute of play forced Sporting DoutroMundo's goalkeeper Dimas Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Dezassete eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
