Heitor Peseiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dércio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Alexandre Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Viriato Amaro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viriato Amaro was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Albano Leizarraga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albano Leizarraga really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 20th minute, Alexandre Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If André Roriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Viriato Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as André Roriz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Viriato Amaro. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. André Roriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Amaro having to interfere. In the 47th minute, André Roriz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albano Leizarraga to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Garanhão do SUL's Alexandre Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Amaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Benficajuvestars's zone, André Roriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Amaro came out of the goal and André Roriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gentil Raposo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Garanhão do SUL's António Gama was substituted for André Roriz. After 57 played minutes Benficajuvestars got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Raposo. After 60 played minutes Benficajuvestars got a freekick which was hit by Gentil Raposo. After some careless play in the Benficajuvestars defense, Israel Coutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viriato Amaro. The Benficajuvestars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viriato Amaro should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Benficajuvestars's Simão França got a free kick in the 64th minute. Viriato Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Gama in the 65th minute of the match. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Heitor Peseiro got control of the ball when Dércio Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. António Gama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Abel Lameirinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Benficajuvestars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Benigno Jesco replaced Albano Leizarraga. Maurício Rodrigues hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Viriato Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Obafemi Fabiani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Benficajuvestars booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Lameirinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Benficajuvestars got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Rodrigues. Benficajuvestars's Viriato Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Jesco in the 95th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Garanhão do SUL had played much better football throughout.
