Valadas's Honorato Lameiras got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Wilson Castelo Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gentil Raposo fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benficajuvestars's protests and gave Gentil Raposo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Gentil Raposo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernanco Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dércio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Honorato Lameiras came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Valadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Lameiras couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Benficajuvestars's goalkeeper Cristóvão Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Castelo Branco. The supporters of Benficajuvestars booed when Valadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerónimo Álvares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernanco Muslera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dércio Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Honorato Lameiras recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristóvão Quadros. Honorato Lameiras showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cristóvão Quadros made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Honorato Lameiras sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Honorato Lameiras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorato Lameiras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernanco Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dércio Leão in the 34th minute of play. Cristóvão Quadros came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Valadas's Honorato Lameiras. But to his dismay, Honorato Lameiras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Valadas's goal looked a bit too open when Dércio Leão came free, but Fernanco Muslera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Valadas's Nicolau Pedroso got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Fernanco Muslera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dércio Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Simão França made the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Iustin Piţurcă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valadas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benficajuvestars the free kick. Simão França came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernanco Muslera could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zekeriya Ülgener in the 55th minute of play forced Benficajuvestars's goalkeeper Cristóvão Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zekeriya Ülgener, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Wilson Castelo Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristóvão Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Honorato Lameiras kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Valadas's Fernanco Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Pegado in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Valadas's Iustin Piţurcă got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Zekeriya Ülgener scored 5-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristóvão Quadros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zekeriya Ülgener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Marquez. In the 89th minute, Osvaldo Marquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valadas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 93 minutes into the match, Honorato Lameiras notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Benficajuvestars's Cristóvão Quadros. Cristóvão Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valadas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
