The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Schmid to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudio Weniger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Wüthrich in the 53rd minute of play. Prudencio Tibalt hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Flatline Zombies's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Einstein came free, but Claudio Weniger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Espen Steelers fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Espen Steelers's Albert Einstein looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Flatline Zombies were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Espen Steelers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Noel Zanier took the corner. The corner led Flatline Zombies's Noel Zanier to fire away a dangerous shot which Nikola Portner despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Kurt Wüthrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudio Weniger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Schmid's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After 92 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Wüthrich. After a defensive mix-up in Flatline Zombies's zone, Albert Einstein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Weniger came out of the goal and Albert Einstein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Espen Steelers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
