With a left leg Tristan Arioli saved Olympique Fribourg from getting behind. Espen Steelers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albert Einstein in the 4th minute. A nice corner shot did that Albert Einstein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tristan Arioli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 7th minute Mateo Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Portner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomone Weber in the 8th minute of play forced Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes Espen Steelers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matt Metzger who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Andy Schmid put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Tristan Arioli. After 45 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Ben Zehnder. After 47 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Ant Koyak. The Olympique Fribourg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Espen Steelers were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Mich Batshuayi made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Salomone Weber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tristan Arioli was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Nikola Portner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcellus Walpert in the 87th minute of play. Olympique Fribourg's Tristan Arioli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Fribourg from getting a goal against them. The corner led to Espen Steelers's Gaetano Rothstein getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Andres Ambühl took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tristan Arioli. Tristan Arioli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Espen Steelers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
