Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Fire Devils's Francis Aberle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loris Hellmüller in the 12th minute of play. Michele Rieger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loris Hellmüller in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Francis Aberle notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Axenstein's Michele Rieger. Michele Rieger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Michele Rieger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loris Hellmüller's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dave Drescher hit a great ball. Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Aberle in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Axenstein's Gabriel Christen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Thaddäus Striner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loris Hellmüller in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michele Rieger saved Axenstein from getting behind. Vladimir Schnyder hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Axenstein's Gabriel Christen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 47 minutes of play, Fire Devils's Francis Aberle made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michele Rieger was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Axenstein players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fire Devils were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janusz Skaradowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janusz Skaradowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Walter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sammy Beck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goalkeeper Michele Rieger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loris Hellmüller. In the 66th minute Janusz Skaradowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Dave Drescher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fire Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Axenstein the free kick. Dave Drescher kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Walter Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Skaradowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axenstein's Michele Rieger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Axenstein from getting a goal against them. Fire Devils's Loris Hellmüller got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michele Rieger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Aberle, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Fire Devils were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Axenstein side.
