The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Basilius Ringeli made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Karim Gerber sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Dubler in the 10th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lew Maurer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deniz Egger charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deniz Egger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Deniz Egger kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A hard shot by Adriano Bollhalder from long distance, 12 minutes into the match, got Basilius Ringeli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Lari Fari got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Roland Cirella. Lew Maurer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Raiola in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Benoit Lukas got a free kick in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Adam Hinnen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilius Ringeli was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Geraud Mazza came free, but Lew Maurer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto Dubler made a kick off. If Otto Dubler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilius Ringeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Hinnen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Raiola came free, but Lew Maurer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Lew Maurer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Joshua Anderhub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilius Ringeli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Hinnen, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Basilius Ringeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hinnen in the 60th minute of the match. Oliver Montandon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's Adriano Bollhalder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilius Ringeli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Andrej Schifferli had to leave the field with a concussion. Lari Fari's late challenge caught a Tarada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lari Fari helped the player get up and apologised. Tarada made a substitution. Marc Nuessli replaced Andrej Schifferli. Lari Fari kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A hard shot 75 in the game by Otto Dubler from a close distance when the talented Lew Maurer managed to make a qualified save. FC Wil 1900's players were relieved. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lew Maurer got control of the ball when Marc Nuessli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otto Dubler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Lew Maurer made a huge save. Lari Fari hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tarada's Geraud Mazza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lew Maurer. That made the score 1-2 after 82 minutes of play. In the 87th minute, Götz Venkataramanappa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Johnny Raiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Joshua Anderhub shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilius Ringeli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Adam Hinnen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wil 1900 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The Tarada players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented FC Wil 1900 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
