In the 3rd minute, FC Wil 1900's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Christen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, FC Wil 1900's Lew Maurer got control of the ball when Janusz Skaradowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 10 minutes FC Wil 1900's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Graham Baumgartner who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Graham Baumgartner got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lew Maurer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Janusz Skaradowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Lew Maurer made a huge save. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Axenstein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graham Baumgartner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Axenstein defense, Karim Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michele Rieger. The Axenstein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michele Rieger should have stopped the shot. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Gerber in the 20th minute of play. If Adam Hinnen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Hinnen in the 31st minute of play forced Axenstein's goalkeeper Michele Rieger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes Axenstein's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriano Bollhalder who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Roland Cirella almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Axenstein's Michele Rieger did a great save. When FC Wil 1900's Adam Hinnen in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Axenstein's goalie prevented a goal. Lew Maurer made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Janusz Skaradowski sent off a good shot on target. Michele Rieger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Hinnen, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The Axenstein players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Wil 1900 were winning 0-4.

With his leg Michele Rieger managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when FC Wil 1900's Adam Hinnen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adam Hinnen in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michele Rieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Hinnen in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michele Rieger saved Axenstein from getting behind. The corner ended in Adriano Bollhalder almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Axenstein's Michele Rieger did a great save. In the 61st match minute, FC Wil 1900 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Götz Venkataramanappa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Roland Cirella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wil 1900's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Cirella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Axenstein's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Hinnen came free, but Michele Rieger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Hinnen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Michele Rieger 66 minutes into the match. Adam Hinnen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michele Rieger came out and tried to block the shot, but Adam Hinnen slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Karim Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Michele Rieger. Axenstein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Karim Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michele Rieger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Hinnen in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Adam Hinnen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michele Rieger was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After 78 minutes Axenstein's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriano Bollhalder who took care of the corner kick. Adriano Bollhalder made a great header on FC Wil 1900's corner, it was just that Axenstein's Michele Rieger managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 79th minute, FC Wil 1900's Adam Hinnen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michele Rieger. Michele Rieger yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. In the 84thth minute of the game Adam Hinnen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Axenstein's Michele Rieger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roland Cirella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Hinnen in the 92nd minute of play forced Axenstein's goalkeeper Michele Rieger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michele Rieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Hinnen scored 0-12 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michele Rieger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Axenstein supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Wil 1900's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Wil 1900.
