FC Minerva Tallinn's Johannes Verte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hristo Botev in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Lauri Niit could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Peeter Bonetti however easily saved by the left post. Peeter Bonetti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beppe Di Campli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. Ray Sotelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peeter Bonetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Sotelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Minerva Tallinn's zone, Valdo Orumets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Verte came out of the goal and Valdo Orumets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peeter Bonetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Di Campli in the 40th minute of play. After 42 minutes, Ats Jaani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Minerva Tallinn and the FC Dundee players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ats Jaani kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Martin Mendoza hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, FC Dundee's goalkeeper Peeter Bonetti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauri Niit.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lauri Niit to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes FC Dundee got a freekick which was hit by Jass Enula. If Lauri Niit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Ray Sotelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peeter Bonetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Mendoza hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Pudes Figueres kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when FC Minerva Tallinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teet Leo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute Martin Mendoza ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Johannes Verte. 3-1. After some careless play in the FC Dundee defense, Lauri Niit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peeter Bonetti. The FC Dundee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peeter Bonetti should have stopped the shot. Peeter Bonetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Sotelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Luis Alberto Spinetta kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Johannes Verte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peeter Bonetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauri Niit in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Lauri Niit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peeter Bonetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Dundee's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beppe Di Campli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. FC Minerva Tallinn were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Dundee for a fine match.
