Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sammy Kosgei started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Kang came free, but Wilson Korir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Wilson Korir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Phua. 9 minutes into the match, Zablon Maish had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Sim. LiverBird Flyers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zablon Maish was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Kang came free, but Wilson Korir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Korir made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Felix Hongyi sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Felix Hongyi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Wilson Korir to make any attempt to save it. Jithu Kang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Korir came out and tried to block the shot, but Jithu Kang slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute, Albert Phua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Sim didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rothwell Park's Talib Hassan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Phua during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Albert Phua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Hongyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Korir having to interfere. The supporters of LiverBird Flyers FC booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiran Rop didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Felix Hongyi made the kick off in the second half. LiverBird Flyers FC's Joel Sim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zablon Maish in the 52nd minute of play. Shukrie Low recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Mwaura's late challenge caught a LiverBird Flyers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Mwaura helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of LiverBird Flyers FC booed when Rothwell Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Mwaura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Shukrie Low got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Hongyi hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Rothwell Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiran Rop to maneuver through the defense. Wilson Korir came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by LiverBird Flyers FC's Felix Hongyi. But to his dismay, Felix Hongyi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Wilson Korir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shukrie Low in the 81st minute of the match. Jithu Kang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Korir having to interfere. Sammy Kosgei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammad Teo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Korir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when LiverBird Flyers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Hongyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Felix Hongyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Korir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rothwell Park's zone, Jithu Kang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Korir came out of the goal and Jithu Kang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
