Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 13 minutes, Sammy Kosgei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothwell Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sammy Kosgei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Sammy Kosgei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carson Kilgore was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17thth minute of the game Sammy Kosgei who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marshrose's Carson Kilgore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Bara Miss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marshrose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bara Miss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Aurèle Mélançon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marshrose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rothwell Park the free kick. A collision led to Marshrose getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aurèle Mélançon hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Ogembo Waithaka shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carson Kilgore showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carson Kilgore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talib Hassan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rothwell Park's Wilson Korir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bara Miss in the 24th minute of play. Wilson Korir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bara Miss went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Talib Hassan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Bara Miss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Korir. Rothwell Park's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bara Miss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bara Miss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Korir having to make a save. In the 41st match minute, Marshrose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bara Miss to maneuver through the defense. When Talib Hassan came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Rothwell Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talib Hassan couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Talib Hassan made the kick off in the second half. Wilson Korir made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jake Perrault sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th match minute, Marshrose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blair Mélançon to maneuver through the defense. Talib Hassan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Carson Kilgore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bara Miss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rothwell Park's zone, Jake Perrault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Korir came out of the goal and Jake Perrault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Limo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Limo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jake Perrault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Korir having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rothwell Park's zone, Bara Miss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Korir came out of the goal and Bara Miss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Marshrose's Brice Bergman got a free kick in the 81st minute. Blair Mélançon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Talib Hassan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carson Kilgore having to interfere. Jake Perrault recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
