An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Scirea in the 18th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Brice Leach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Scirea took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brice Leach. Brice Leach dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Varennes's Brice Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Scirea in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Varennes booed when Set Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Dziura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Dziura kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 33rd match minute, Set Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedele Scirea to maneuver through the defense. Brice Leach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Scirea in the 35th minute of the match. Randell McCullough hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The Set Fire fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Rosalio should have stopped the shot. Fedele Scirea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Brice Leach when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 60thth minute of the game Fedele Scirea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varennes's Brice Leach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Varennes's Brice Leach got control of the ball when Fedele Scirea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delmiro Rosalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loic Deal in the 77th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Set Fire's Fedele Scirea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Leach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Set Fire's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wladyslaw Brudzisz in the 86th minute. The corner led Set Fire's Wladyslaw Brudzisz to fire away a dangerous shot which Brice Leach despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fedele Scirea's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Brice Leach firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fedele Scirea got free with Brice Leach in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Fedele Scirea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Set Fire's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
