Fathoni Birowo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to PHOENIX SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aras Pandiangan hit a great ball. Holin Probohudono succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 28 minutes into the match, Set Fire's Fedele Scirea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fathoni Birowo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fedele Scirea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fathoni Birowo made a huge save. The nice shot from Fedele Scirea in the 32ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Fathoni Birowo had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 32 minutes into the game, Fedele Scirea lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Fathoni Birowo. Fedele Scirea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fathoni Birowo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Holin Probohudono in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmiro Rosalio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes Set Fire's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucky Sihite who took care of the corner kick. In the 47thth minute of the game Kamarudin Simatupang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 48 minutes Set Fire's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucky Sihite who took care of the corner kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sasho Amiorkov came free, but Fathoni Birowo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holin Probohudonos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Delmiro Rosalio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 61st minute PHOENIX SC were awarded a corner. Lucky Sihite went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aras Pandiangan during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Scirea in the 65th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Fathoni Birowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Kamarudin Simatupang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Fedele Scirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fathoni Birowo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
