The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adam Sandbakken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Kristian Evenstad made a huge save. Kristian Evenstad made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Adam Sandbakken sent off a good shot on target. Laniakea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eilert Nordlie in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Eilert Nordlie almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Oslo City FC's Kristian Evenstad did a great save. The supporters of Laniakea booed when Oslo City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Alnæs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eilert Nordlie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Evenstad having to interfere. Kristian Evenstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ole-Jostein Skjerping, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Adam Sandbakken who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Kristian Evenstad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Erik Osland in the 27th minute of play forced Oslo City FC's goalkeeper Kristian Evenstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Ole-Jostein Skjerping shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Evenstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ole-Jostein Skjerping kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes, Oslo City FC's Abraham Alnæs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cai Baardsen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oslo City FC reached it. In the 40th minute, Adam Sandbakken reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kristian Evenstad. The goal made the score 3-0. Kristian Evenstad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilert Nordlie in the 45th minute of play. Hans-Erik Osland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Evenstad having to interfere.

The wind increased when Adam Sandbakken made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Hans-Erik Osland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Evenstad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Evenstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eilert Nordlie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oslo City FC's Kristian Evenstad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Sandbakken in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Laniakea got a freekick which was hit by Frode Nyheim. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Eilert Nordlie sped through Oslo City FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristian Evenstad. 66 minutes into the match, Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kristian Evenstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kristian Evenstad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Sandbakken went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Kristian Evenstad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Sandbakken, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute, André Synnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eilert Nordlie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Evenstad having to interfere. Peter Dehli's late challenge caught a Laniakea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Dehli helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Oslo City FC got a freekick which was hit by Peter Dehli. A collision led to Oslo City FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Abraham Alnæs hit a great ball. Hans-Erik Osland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Kristian Evenstad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Laniakea fully deserved thier win.
