After a defensive mix-up in AC Wipes's zone, Ken Ernstsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Schanke came out of the goal and Ken Ernstsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ken Ernstsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Schanke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Trond Kjølstad was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, one of AC Wipes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AC Wipes. After some careless play in the AC Wipes defense, Ola-Conny T. Hansen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kenneth Schanke. The AC Wipes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kenneth Schanke should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Ken Ernstsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Schanke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenneth Schanke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Auestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenneth Schanke didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Ola-Conny T. Hansen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. After 33rd play minutes Stig-Inge Skjold shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Kjell Rein and just under the crossbar into goal. Magnus Auestad charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Auestad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With an all-out effort, AC Wipes's Kjell Rein threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stig-Inge Skjold, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 39 minutes into the game, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Ken Ernstsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth Schanke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Stig-Inge Skjold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Magnus Auestad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dum Dum Boys Athletics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ola-Conny T. Hansen was the one to do the kick off. Stig-Inge Skjold recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Jim Torsvik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dum Dum Boys Athletics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. After 65 played minutes, AC Wipes's Jon-Erik Isdal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell Rein came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AC Wipes reached it. 70 minutes into the match, Ken Ernstsen notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of AC Wipes's Kenneth Schanke. Kenneth Schanke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stig-Inge Skjold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Rein having to interfere. 2-8 became the score in the 80th minute when Stig-Inge Skjold elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Tor-Arne Waaler fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Wipes's protests and gave Tor-Arne Waaler a yellow card for diving instead. Tor-Arne Waaler kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Kjell Rein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Inge Skjold in the 93rd minute of play. Kjell Rein didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tor-Arne Waaler went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-9 was the resulting score. The Dum Dum Boys Athletics players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
