The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ørjan Moen in the 2nd minute of play forced Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goalkeeper Kjell Rein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Kolseth's late challenge caught a Flogo FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim Kolseth helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dum Dum Boys Athletics getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Joachim Kolseth hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Kent Sakshaug managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flogo FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Sakshaug was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Rein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Dum Dum Boys Athletics's zone, Christian Kaspersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell Rein came out of the goal and Christian Kaspersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Haugsdal might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell Rein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andreas Haugsdal ran back to his position shaking his head. After 12 played minutes Christian Kaspersen could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Kjell Rein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Dum Dum Boys Athletics from getting a goal against them. Flogo FF's Christian Kaspersen got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kjell Rein was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Ørjan Moen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ørjan Moen really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After some careless play in the Flogo FF defense, Magnus Auestad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Aage Eklund. The Flogo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Aage Eklund should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Vegard Bakke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kjell Rein, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Flogo FF's zone, Ola-Conny T. Hansen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Aage Eklund came out of the goal and Ola-Conny T. Hansen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Haugsdal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 32nd playminute. Kjell Rein made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Andreas Haugsdal sent off a good shot on target. Christian Butt charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Butt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christian Butt kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Tor-Egil Heggedal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Aage Eklund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dum Dum Boys Athletics reached it. Ola-Conny T. Hansen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Kjell Rein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Haugsdal in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Haugsdal made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, Dum Dum Boys Athletics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stian Barka to maneuver through the defense. Kjell Rein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ørjan Moen in the 56th minute of play. Kjell Rein came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Flogo FF's Christian Kaspersen. But to his dismay, Christian Kaspersen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Haugsdal in the 64th minute of play forced Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goalkeeper Kjell Rein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Dum Dum Boys Athletics getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Stian Barka hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Kent Sakshaug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flogo FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Sakshaug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Haugsdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andreas Haugsdal hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goal looked a bit too open when Ørjan Moen came free, but Kjell Rein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Christian Kaspersen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Kjell Rein was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kjell Rein came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Flogo FF's Christian Kaspersen. But to his dismay, Christian Kaspersen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dum Dum Boys Athletics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kent Sakshaug was slow to take the kick. During this time Flogo FF's players had a chance to rest. In the 95th match minute, Dum Dum Boys Athletics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asbjørn Eira to maneuver through the defense.
