When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ole-Einar Opsahl sped through AC Wipes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kenneth Schanke. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Ole-Einar Opsahl put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kenneth Schanke. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Stig-Inge Skjold took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Olav Westad to make any attempt to save it. 22 minutes into the match, Sagene IF's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Inge Skjold came free, but Olav Westad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Ole-Einar Opsahl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sagene IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Kenneth Schanke came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Sagene IF's Ole-Einar Opsahl. But to his dismay, Ole-Einar Opsahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Ole-Einar Opsahl struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Kenneth Schanke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sagene IF. Finn-Christian Strandheim kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The AC Wipes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sagene IF were winning 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steinar Taraldsen was the one to do the kick off. Runar Nyvoll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kenneth Schanke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes in the game Jon-Erik Isdal did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Stig-Inge Skjold. Stig-Inge Skjold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Olav Westad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ole-Einar Opsahl didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-5 via right post in the game's 62nd minute. Sagene IF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After a rather tough play, AC Wipes's Steinar Taraldsen got a free kick in the 66th minute. AC Wipes's Kenneth Schanke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save AC Wipes from getting a goal against them. Kenneth Schanke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ole-Einar Opsahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ole-Einar Opsahl in the 71st minute of play forced AC Wipes's goalkeeper Kenneth Schanke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olav Westad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Haukenes in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Wipes's goalkeeper Kenneth Schanke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sagene IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
