Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Alnes in the 5th minute of the match. Daniel Lundh kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Bernt Alsaker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edvin Bredesen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Bernt Alsaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halvdan Osland in the 25th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Gædd FK got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Bredesen. Andreas Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Vie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilhelm Kvande hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kim Alnes in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Berglund saved Gædd FK from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kim Alnes during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Kim Alnes hit a great ball. Gædd FK's Andreas Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Alnes in the 41st minute of play. If Alf-Inge Hol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Gædd FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Lundh to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Gædd FK defense, Ray Man kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andreas Berglund. The Gædd FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Berglund should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Gard Borlaug hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jonathan Vie's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Andreas Berglund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gædd FK's goalkeeper Andreas Berglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Gædd FK booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Bide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Alsaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halvdan Osland in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Vie got free with Andreas Berglund in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Åsnes's Jonathan Vie ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andreas Berglund. Andreas Berglund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. 82 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's goalkeeper Andreas Berglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Vie. With a little luck, Gædd FK's Andreas Berglund got control of the ball when Jonathan Vie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gædd FK's Edvin Bredesen got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Edvin Bredesen off the ground. After 85 played minutes Gædd FK got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Bredesen. 90 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's goalkeeper Andreas Berglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Vie. Tor-Kristian Fosse charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor-Kristian Fosse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 96 minutes into the match, Gædd FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Kristian Fosse came free, but Andreas Berglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åsnes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
