The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andreas Berglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The AEK FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Radowit Hetman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Andreas Berglund made a huge save. Kjetil Hellevik struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Finn Eidsvåg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gædd FK. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Malkoçoğlu in the 41st minute of play forced Gædd FK's goalkeeper Andreas Berglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
