Emanuel Mannie hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Fabian Bernard struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fausto Weterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Soin in the 14th minute of play forced C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goalkeeper Oscar Passet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Bernard in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Weterio saved Estudiantes de la Plata from getting behind. After 15 minutes, Fabian Bernard made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Estudiantes de la Plata's Fausto Weterio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, one of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo:s Oscar Passet showed great skill when he stopped Su Yuan Yu:s penalty. In the 25th minute Sebastian Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Urtungo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Sebastian Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Gorbea in the 33rd minute of play. Sebastian Gorbea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fausto Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Weterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doctor Khumalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Jorge Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Rodriguez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto Weterio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justino Jacob charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justino Jacob the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo got a freekick which was hit by Justino Jacob. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Larpe to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Hector Quinto hit a great ball. Estudiantes de la Plata's Fausto Weterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Gorbea in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo got a corner. Estudiantes de la Plata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Rodriguez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's corner Emanuel Mannie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fausto Weterio quite easily take care of the ball. In the 61st minute Virgílio Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Passet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Bernard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Fausto Weterio made a huge save. Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sebastian Gorbea 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo made a substitution. Ramiro Dalmau replaced Sebastian Gorbea. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo made a substitution. Saturnino Justin replaced Fabian Bernard. A throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game was made by Hector Quinto with Su Yuan Yu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Estudiantes de la Plata getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Virgílio Bezerra hit a great ball. When Hector Quinto fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de la Plata's protests and gave Hector Quinto a yellow card for diving instead. When the match was over C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Estudiantes de la Plata throughout the match.
