The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Tal Hanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's Emanuel Garoa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Iigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Lino Txindoki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riverplatense CARP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Emanuel Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Lino Txindoki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riverplatense CARP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. Lino Txindoki kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Txindoki in the 28th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Lolo Lorenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lolo Lorenzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Txindoki, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Riverplatense CARP getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Placido Opilano hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as La Scaloneta's Emanuel Garoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ariel Iigo. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. In the 38th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Videl to maneuver through the defense. Blas Osoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Lolo Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lolo Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Berasko in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emanuel Garoa made the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Fagondo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Lolo Lorenzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramon Berasko. Emanuel Garoa's late challenge caught a Riverplatense CARP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Garoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Iigo having to interfere. La Scaloneta's Lolo Lorenzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them. Lolo Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Berasko in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Lolo Lorenzo got control of the ball when Blas Osoro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicanor Ramos during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Ramon Berasko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Scaloneta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Riverplatense CARP had controlled the match.
